In this article the author analyses the theme of children´s human rights. Starting with a historical revision of these during the Twentieth Century, specially of those stipulated by the Organization of United Nations (since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Declaration of the Rights of the Child to the Convention on the Rights of the Child) she concludes with an evaluation of their situation in the variagated mexican context. The author stresses the need for this matter to be treated like a priority issue in the country’s public agenda with the purpose of influencing the decision makers in regards to social policies.
