In this article, the author analyses the formation, characteristics and historical impact of the Nation-State as a preamble to the European Union thematic, the more advanced example of multinational- regional integration, and its nowadays reality. The analysis is centered in the problems caused by its gestation, functioning and application as a macro political, economical, social, cultural and of creation of identity project destined to be an example of unity, tolerance and acceptance of the alteration in an antagonist reality between globalization and regionalization.
