Abstract

RAMOS GARCIA, José María. Seguridad ciudadana y la seguridad nacional en México: hacia un marco conceptual. Rev. mex. cienc. polít. soc [online]. 2005, vol.47, n.194, pp.33-52. ISSN 0185-1918.

This article analyses public security seen from the perspective of national security in two different branches, one related with citizen's security, meaning that every per-son has the right of life, liberty and personal security; and the second one is associated with the protection of each person's and social groups' civil rights that can be affected, in this case, by the United States national security politics. Likewise, the objectives of Mexican national security given by the Plan Nacional de Desarrollo (2001-2006) (National Development Plan) are examined.

Keywords : seguridad nacional; seguridad ciudadana; inseguridad pública; Estado.
