Resumen

SANTARCANGELO, Juan E.; FAL, Juan  y  PINAZO, Germán. The engines of economic growth in Argentina: ruptures and continuities. Inv. Econ [online]. 2011, vol.70, n.275, pp.93-114. ISSN 0185-1667.

Argentina has experienced important economic transformations since the 2001 crisis and the abandonment of the convertibility plan. Actually, based on the clear evolution of some of the main economic variables, the discussion is centered on the existence or lack of it of structural changes in the accumulation growth path and on the role of the State in the recent economic recovery. In this context, the aim of this paper is to contribute to the debate by analyzing the main characteristics of Argentina's economic growth for the period 2003-2007and placing special emphasis on the ruptures and continuities that the actual period presents with respect to the convertibility plan period. Moreover, we will study how the actual growth engines have impacted on the labor market and we will explore the evolution of the working conditions of the working class.

Palabras llave : Argentina; growth; employment; structural change.
