This paper investigates the relationships among economic growth, education and employment in an extensive sample of countries all over the world. The econometric analysis shows the important role of the investment in physical and human capital over the improvement in the per capita income level in all the countries. In the special case of the Latin America countries we offer evidence of the strong inverse relation between education level and fertility rates, as well as its influence in he economic growth.
