The presidential interregnum is the period between the day of the election until the takeover of cargo, by the elected candidate who will become constitutional president, going through the qualification of the election, the official broadcast of the result election and declared president elect, period during which it is planned the construction of the new government. In the case of this article discusses the presidential interregnum of 2018 in Mexico, stretching from the day of the presidential election which led to the electoral victory of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, july 1, 2018, until its takeover as constitutional president, in december 1 of that year.
