The paper presents an analysis of the social security situation of the workers assigned to Section B of the Third Article of the Mexican Constitution. The authors examine the causes that have exacerbated the crisis of the social security system in Mexico and the scope of the Law of the Institute of Social Security and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE), as well as its implications on labor stability and in the benefits on social security for Section B workers. The text concludes with an improvement propose with the idea of create a modern, comprehensive, effective and effectively universal social security.
