Abstract

ESCAMILLA CADENA, Alberto  and  SANCHEZ GAYOSSO, Ramiro. The constitutional faculties of the Executive in Latin America between the concentration and dispersion of power. Estud. polít. (Méx.) [online]. 2016, n.37, pp.111-141. ISSN 0185-1616.

This paper aims to analyze and compare some of the powers of Latin American presidents to know to what extent a concentration or dispersion of power has occurred. In some countries, executive prerogatives have remained almost unchanged favoring a concentration of power that ends up reproducing its pre-eminence in the political regime. This analysis was drawn from the consultation of different existing constitutions of the region, the cut was until 2014.

Keywords : constitutional powers; Executive power; concentration of power; balance of power; Latin America.
