Antonio López de Santa Anna attempted to establish a dictatorship to regenerate the country in the first half of the 19th century in the history of Mexico. The work explores four events: the burial of the dictator's leg in the Santa Paula cementery; the planning of the first column in honor of the independence which was never completed, but that gave the city's main square its name; the construction of the Flyer's Market with the dictator's statue; and finally, the building of the Santa Anna Theater, origin of the Palace of Fine Arts.
