This article analices the election campaign of july 2006, it emphasizes the performance of |the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) (Institutional Revolutionary Party). The authoress specifies how the PRI has lost political space because its alliance with other parties and the problems of its internal life. Finally it shows in a grafhic perspective the negative trend of the PRI evolution
