This work analyzes the rol of the party opposition in the consolidation of a democratic regime. Based on the ideas of Robert Dahl, Juan J. Linz and Gianfranco Pasquino it analyzes the way multuiple factors influence the definition of the opposition profile, the actions would realize in order to assure the stability of a democratic regime (whereas it is incipient or consolidated) and reafirms that opposition should not forget its function as the society representative against the State.
