The essay is about the increasing incorporation of political marketing as a subject in the curriculum of many Latin American Universities in the last years. It describes ten of the most important competences that a professional of political marketing must have or develop in the working field when he or she has got a degree. Finally, it debates about the best manner to teach political marketing, in the light of new models and concepts related to learning.
