The rate of unionization (worker's affiliation to trade unions) is one the most valuable indicators in the analysis of organized labor. The recent changes in such rate are a result of several factors. Present time world processes of modernization and globalization, specifically changes in production and working systems and al so in hiring modalities, have brought a significant drop in the percentage of unionized workers.
