This article analyzes the role played by a series of settlements of laborers from the Montaña region of Guerrero who have settled in eastern Morelos, within a broad “migratory territory.” This territory has multiple nodes located in geographically distant places which present advantages and disadvantages for the family of laborers who move there to work in agriculture. Among the various settlements Tenextepango, Morelos stands out. Here thousands of Indigenous families from Guerrero have settled since it has become a “gathering place” as well as a “pivotal point” for various migratory flows.
