CALDERON CARRILLO, Daniel. Los niños como sujetos sociales: Notas sobre la antropología de la infancia. Nueva antropol [online]. 2015, vol.28, n.82, pp.125-140. ISSN 0185-0636.
This article presents a series of questions on studies and relations which are involved in the Anthropology of Childhood. During the 1990s the Convention on the Rights of the Child agreed to refer to children as subjects and not objects of rights. This allowed for various disciplines such as sociology, psychology and anthropology to include them in research, not merely descriptively, but practically, by designing new methodologies, techniques, and theories for their study. "Children's Culture," proposed by Delalande (2003) has perhaps received the most attention by scholars, for its close relationship between physical and intellectual maturity, besides the ludic knowledge taught to children by adults, knowledge which they re-appropriate and test with their peers, leading to oral knowhow as one of the main characteristics of their knowledge.
