Abstract

TORRES GASTELU, Carlos Arturo. La participación de las grandes cadenas de supermercados en las redes de comercialización de los pequeños productores. Nueva antropol [online]. 2012, vol.25, n.77, pp.109-132. ISSN 0185-0636.

The present work analyzes the structure of commercialization networks, reviewing the role played by two key actors: supermarkets and small producers, from the perspective of the "local merchandise networks" (redes locales de mercancías, RLM). Therefore, the study reviews the situation of supermarkets in Mexico and takes the case study of the microenterprise "Macadamia de Veracruz", which represents a small supplier from the gourmet foods sector. Its study illustrates the new shape of world food systems and their implications at the local level, expressed in the microenterprise members' outlines of economic pluriactivity.

Keywords : globalization; capacities; commercialization networks.
