Abstract

VERA MUNOZ, Gerardo. Capital social y empresa rural, una visión regional desde México: el caso de una empresa productora de chía orgánica. Nueva antropol [online]. 2012, vol.25, n.77, pp.15-30. ISSN 0185-0636.

Social capital has recently been considered one of the most important factors in the improvement of living conditions in rural communities. In rural areas in Latin America numerous studies have described the means of building social capital and their respective results. However, in no instance, in the literature reviewed, has the building of social capital in the context of a rural enterprise been explored. For this reason the objective of the study is to analyze and discuss the benefits that can be generated by individual social capital in the context of an organic chia seed rural production and marketing enterprise.

Keywords : social capital; rural enterprise; organic chia seed.
