Abstract

FERNANDEZ-BADILLO, Leonardo  and  TORRES-ANGELES, Ferdinand. Contribution to the knowledge of reproduction and parental care in Crotalus molossus nigrescens in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Acta Zool. Mex [online]. 2018, vol.34, e3412147. ISSN 2448-8445.  https://doi.org/10.21829/azm.2018.3412147.

The black-tailed rattlesnake (Crotalus molossus nigrescens) has a wide distribution in the Mexican territory. Nevertheless, field information about its reproductive biology is scarce, particularly in Hidalgo State. Here, we present the first report about clutch characteristics of Crotalus molossus nigrescens in Hidalgo State, and also about parental care behavior.

Keywords : Reproductive biology; clutch; behavior.
