Abstract

RIVERA RESTREPO, José M.. Some Notes on Legal Prostitution in Chile. Bol. Mex. Der. Comp. [online]. 2017, vol.50, n.148, pp.361-392. ISSN 2448-4873.

This research aims to examine, albeit briefly, some important aspects that characterize the phenomenon of prostitution, its causes, effects and possible legal regulation. Without wishing to be a comprehensive analysis of their history, this topic is presented, contextualizing, in order to motivate the same legal research. The little legal regulation of prostitution, as well as academic research in relation to it, further contribute to extend the veil or nebula that is built around it.

Keywords : Prostitution; trafficking in women; discrimination; civil law; sex worker.
