Bullftghting established early in New Spain. All social classes -nobility, clergy and common people- felt attracted to tkis kind of shows, assisting and taking part in them. But, as it had happened in mother country, some members of the new spain church, didn't like these shows. So they tried to ban them. Moreover, they proclaimed different orders o condemn some practices such as the presence of clergymen in these shows or the celebration of bulfigthing in cementeries.
