This article analyses the criticisms and answers regarding the functions of the IMF and the WB, with special reference to the field of International Law of Human Rights. It is argued that the State Parties to international treaties on human rights are obliged to be coherent on their negotiations and agreements with both the IMF and the WB, as breaching said obligations amounts to their international liability. Likewise, the article explores the duty of the IMF and the WB to respect international obligations on human rights, considering their character of International Customary Law.
