This article offers a critical analysis of the actions that were taken to impeach the Chief of Government of Mexico's Federal District, and reviews the conduct ofthe parties involved, as well as an explanation ofthe procedure established by the Mexican Constitution in this kind ofcases. Through a legal analysis, the author concludes that the issue was not so much the fight against impunity, but the biased use ofpower to affect Mexico's transition to democracy.
