In order to understand the reality of the vulnerable groups, it is needed to begin explaining different aspects such as: vulnerability as an integral phenomenon; the theory of vulnerable groups; the origins and elements of vulnerability. Seen in this way, it would be possible to identify with precision which are the vulnerable groups in society, and specifically those who are victims of domestic violence, and to understand the system of social relations that puts them in situations of risk and, therefore, in situations of vulnerability.
