Abstract

GOMEZ, K; D'ALESSANDRO MARTINEZ, A  and  RODRIGUEZ, M. Simulación de la estenosis pulmonar y la regurgitación tricúspide mediante un modelo eléctrico del sistema cardiovascular humano. Rev. mex. fis. [online]. 2006, vol.52, suppl.3, pp.60-62. ISSN 0035-001X.

The importance of the rigth ventricle has been ignored for decades, in contrast with the left ventricle, wose characteristics has received an exhaustive study. The role of the right ventricle in hemodynamics an in keeping an adequate cardiac output has been minimized to a mere passage of blood. The objective of the present work is to simulate by means of an Electrical Model of the Human Cardiovascular System, diseases of the valves pulmonary and tricuspid, which are located in the right side of the heart, and we will try to show through this simulation the influence of that diseases in the right cardiovascular mechanics. We obtained the graphs of pressure based on the time of the right auricle, of the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery for the diseases named previously, which, whit very similar form to the reality, show the changes that happen in the right cardiovascular mechanics when the pathologies mentioned previously are pronounced.

Keywords : Cardiovascular mechanics; cardiology; mathematical model; simulation.
