Abstract

TORRES MARTEL, José Miguel  and  AYALA GERMAN, Ana Gabriela. Ebstein's anomaly in a patient with Down syndrome. Case report. Rev. Fac. Med. (Méx.) [online]. 2019, vol.62, n.1, pp.23-26. ISSN 2448-4865.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fm.24484865e.2019.62.1.04.

An infant with Down’s syndrome was referred to our department with cyanosis and heart murmur. A transthoracic echocardiogram demonstrated the presence of Ebstein’s anomaly. This association is extremely unusual. Medical management was initiated since the tricuspid valve lesion was mild. Only twelve cases, to our knowledge, have been previously reported.

Keywords : Down’s syndrome; Ebstein´s anomaly; congenital cardiopathy.
