The Buenos Aires Police Bulletin, published between 1824 and 1827, had an impact on the construction dynamics of police configurations during the period examined. Its examination reveals a significant experience within the framework of the material furnishing that occurred as a result of the creation of the Police Department in 1821. Analysis of its contents, edition, and circulation show how this Bulletin oscillated between registration and news. In other words, it was created as part of a police archive under construction, on the one hand, and as a means of visibilizing police activity, on the other. We use the bulletins available in the Historical Archive of the Province of Buenos Aires, La Plata, Argentina), and the Rare Books Section of the National Library of Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), which we then cross-check with information from police reports, affiliations, judicial summaries, and the press.
