MENDIETA-RAMIREZ, Angélica. Women's development in science and research in México: a field to be cultivated. agric. soc. desarro [online]. 2015, vol.12, n.1, pp.107-115. ISSN 1870-5472.

The increase in Mexican women's participation in the country's science and research field is a reality that should lead to the establishment of programs that contribute to generating favorable conditions for their development, stemming from an approach of collaboration and empathy with their specific needs. Thus, this study was carried out using a qualitative non-experimental methodology based on document research of reports generated by the Scientific Research Academia, the National Researchers System (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, SNI) and government initiatives set out in the National Development Plan 2013-2018 and the Sectorial Education Program 2013-2018, as well as their expression at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. This allows integrating a view of the current state of women in science and research that will allow suggesting the horizon towards which this group of Mexican women could move, in a research field yet to be cultivated.
