This paper explores discursive strategies used by fray Bernardino de Sahagun regarding prohibition of pre-Hispanic human sacrifice in a Nahuatl language written sermon, which deals on Christ sacrifice and his figure as Christian high priest. Plus, it approaches some linguistic phenomena that took place when supernatural Christian language was translated to Nahuatl.
