A review is made in the following article, to summarize the main points to sedate or anaesthetise patients in areas outside the operating room. The first point to be taken into account is the goals that ensure both the safety of the patient, and the anesthesiologist. The main points to consider for the preanesthetic assessment of the pediatric patient with the adult are. The importance of fasting for any procedures and drugs that are commonly used in ambulatory anesthesia. The management of the airway to prevent unforeseen complications. Prevention including aspiration, hypothermia, injury kidney by means of contrast, hypovolemia and hypotension, Allergy and anaphylactic shock, and finally nausea and postoperative vomiting. Finally, emphasis on the exclusion of patients for ambulatory anesthesia, since not all patients are candidates to be handled in areas far from the operating room.
