Zincografía [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.12, pp.215-232. Epub 06-Fev-2023. ISSN 2448-8437. https://doi.org/10.32870/zcr.v6i12.182.
The objective of this document is to present considerations for a sociology of graphic design, as a proposal for a learning unit that contributes to social responsibility, from the interrelation that has existed between these two disciplines: graphic design and sociology, and from the recovery of the principles of graphic design found in the analysis of the historical process. The methodology used was documentary research, as well as the text analysis tool, which was carried out through the collection, review and selection of bibliographic sources on graphic design, sociology and the historical interrelation of both disciplines. As a result, it is argued that the discipline of graphic design has had an essential function for society, from prehistory to the present, which allows students of Design for Graphic Communication to be actors aware of their role in society and offer solution proposals that they understand. the problem from the necessity and that can be assumed by it.
