CARLOS GOMEZ, Víctor Manuel. Neighborhood and kinship in the conformation of sheaf of bandit assailants in Aguascalientes, 1861-1920. Let. hist. [online]. 2020, n.22, pp.63-86. Epub 30-Abr-2021. ISSN 2448-8372. https://doi.org/10.31836/lh.22.7211.
Collective work was essential for bandit assailants, because it allowed them to appropriate an alien property anonymously and with impunity. In the towns and ranches of Aguascalientes, between 1861 and 1920, the sheaves of assailants were made up of subjects who were linked, by kinship or neighborhood. The strength of this type of criminal grouping fell on trust and loyalty among its members, the bandits moved the existing one with their friends and family to the sheaves. The closer the relationship was, the implicit pact of complicity and silence was established between them.
