This article reflects on the characteristics of work in rural households in the last 10 years in Uruguay. Analyzing by social classes, gender and generations, the socio-productive transformations occurred in Uruguayan rurality; would they have similar or unequal? The method and technique of applied analysis has been quantitative, analyzing the Continuous Household Surveys of the last 10 years at different moments of time to observe their trend. This period is considered given that at the beginning of it was a significant rate of economic growth, and at the end of it stabilizes this growth. The results indicate a set of transformations in the socio-productive conditions of the different social groups that make up the Uruguayan rural labor market in the last ten years. Changes that consolidate the form of capitalist production of rurality and its society in contemporary Uruguay.
