Nowadays, the concept of citizenship must be studied and analyzed. The social citizenship is an aspect which must be considered in every political system. In México, this concept has to be understood as a sine qua non condition for the political exercise in the public sphere. The present social conditions and the welfare level in Mexico do not guarantee the development of social citizenship. This weakness could be explained by many reasons; however, in México it could be explained by the analysis of the representative linkage breaking. In this article will explain this relation.
