LONDONO-MARIN, Vanessa. CALLE DE LAS GUAPAS: FINAL DISPOSITION OF NEGATIVE OTHERNESS OR SPACE OF PROVOCATIVE SOCIAL RELATIONS. LiminaR [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.1, pp.44-56. Epub 02-Mar-2021. ISSN 2007-8900. https://doi.org/10.29043/liminar.v19i1.797.
The objective of this article is to describe the genocidal social practices that were carried out against transgender women and sex workers in the city of Manizales between 2015 and 2019. The research was based on a case study, using a methodology of reflexivity and feminist epistemological approaches. The conclusions are: 1) policies of systematic weakening are implemented against this population sector, through various repertoires of institutional violence; 2) the objective of the practices being promoted is to impose hegemonic models of gender and sexuality on society; 3) trans women resist individually, collectively, and organizationally against repressive actions.
