TENA FERNANDEZ, Ramón  e  CARRERA MARTINEZ, Naír. The Future Classroom Lab as a Framework of Development for Competency- and Project-based Learning. RMIE [online]. 2020, vol.25, n.85, pp.449-468.  Epub 17-Ago-2020. ISSN 1405-6666.

An important nucleus of European educational policies resides in the need to favor methodological change based on learning through projects and the use of key competencies. To comply with these objectives, the Future Classroom Lab (FCL) was created in 2012 as a learning space equipped with a wide variety of technology to enable the implementation of a revolutionary learning model that has attracted followers both within and outside of Europe. In this article, we define the concept of FCL, we describe its early results, and we explain how Belgium (Brussels), Spain, and Portugal have favored its inclusion. We selected these three nations because Belgium is the precursor of the prototype and the two Iberian nations are a good example of how the model can adapt to the specific needs of each nation.
