CASILLAS, Miguel; RAMIREZ MARTINELL, Alberto  e  MORALES FLORES, Cecilia. The Digital Knowledge of High School Students in the 21st Century. RMIE [online]. 2020, vol.25, n.85, pp.317-350.  Epub 17-Ago-2020. ISSN 1405-6666.

In everyday academic competence, students mobilize their knowledge of digital technology to solve educational situations. However, not many diagnostics or defined profiles exist in the plans and programs of study with regard to the digital knowledge that high school graduates must master. The objective of this article is to present the results of research on high school graduates and their relationship with information and communication technologies in the academic context. We obtained survey responses from more than 11,000 young people, analyzed the data statistically, and constructed a profile of their technological skills and knowledge. The results are surprising in terms of the high level of technological mastery in general terms. We can identify three groups, however, that disclose diversity: a small group with low technological mastery, a group with average technological mastery, and the majority with high technological mastery.

Palavras-chave : young people; students; high school education; information and communication technologies.
