CARRASCO ALTAMIRANO, Alma C. e KENT SERNA, Rollin L.. Reading and Writing in Doctoral Programs or the Challenge of Constructing Scientific Authorship. RMIE [online]. 2011, vol.16, n.51, pp.1227-1251. ISSN 1405-6666.
This article provides a literature review on the processes involved in the construction of scientific authorship. Its purpose is to reflect on the various stages that constitute the training trajectory or experience of a budding scientist intent on becoming an autonomous researcher, with special reference to laboratory sciences. By examining moments, practices, and processes involved in the doctoral experience, the article provides an analytical framework, based on Overington (1977), for identifying the stages of doctoral training trajectories.
