The special education constitutes one of the education's areas that has been developed in the last years. We have passed from a context of study centred on the diagnosis and the treatment of the deficiencies and disabilities, to the study of the own reality interpreted in the conceptualizations of the persons and his deficits, of the teachers, the education and the learning processes, which demand a new model of coherent investigation with the new ways of think the reality about special education. In the present article we gather the present and future thematic lines of the investigation in the area of the special education.
