The present article pretends to contribute to the diagnosis of the situation where present democracy is placed. It offers a theoretical - political explanation of what it is for many scholars an emptiness process, distortion, neutralization of traditional political contents, specially shaped during most of the XX century, due to the “not fulfilled democratic promises” that, nowadays are expressed in diverse ways by political institutional overlapping in favor of the economy, which has caused a successful implosion within capitalism itself and has imposed itself in the neoliberalism systemic way inside political practical conduct processes in the new era where we have globalizing or worldwide situations that lead to formulate the following question: ¿is there a change regarding what was the liberal democracy era towards a posdemocracy?.
