AMATTO, Alejandra. Transculture the debate. The challenges of current Latin American literary criticism in two writers: Mariana Enriquez and Liliana Colanzi. Valenciana [online]. 2020, vol.13, n.26, pp.207-230. Epub 22-Dic-2020. ISSN 2007-2538. https://doi.org/10.15174/rv.vi26.535.
This article discusses the need to establish new analytical tools that accompany the interpretive processes of current Latin American literature. It is based on the conception of a new moment in our letters that must have a critical support that meets your needs. For this, it is intended to dismantle the classic definition of transculturation, used by the Cuban Fernando Ortiz and retaken by the Uruguayan Angel Rama, with the intention of structuring an operational category called: literatures of realistic discontent. This designation will allow to approach the works of the narrators Mariana Enriquez and Liliana Colanzi, in order to exemplify in the analysis of two of her stories the proposal made. Likewise, the article intends to reflect on some of the variations of Latin American criticism regarding its position with respect to current literature of unreality and realistic literature.
