Resumen

ALVARADO, Gabriela Victoria  y  LEYVA PINA, Marco Antonio. The family as an emotional agency and a resource in the social labor movement in the Mexican Union of Electricians. Tla-melaua [online]. 2019, vol.13, n.46, pp.120-143.  Epub 02-Oct-2020. ISSN 2594-0716.  https://doi.org/10.32399/rtla.0.46.465.

The Mexican Electricians Union (SME) was a relevant organization in the history of the union movement in Mexico. However, the presidential decree presented in October 11, 2009 main objective was the disappearance of a parastatal company called Compañía de Luz y Fuerza (CLF). This decree terminated the labor relations with the (SME), which suppressed collective bargaining of workers, in order to eliminate the workers union as a force in the social movements of Mexico.

Thus, the state offensive against the (SME) was a strategic move for the privatization of electric power, to favor national and international entrepreneurs. This investigation deals with the response of the electricians. The electricians Union did not accept the government proposal of an economic settlement for the years worked. They generated a protest movement that lasted eight years in defense of their work source.

In the subsistence of the movement of electricians, the family played a fundamental role as a creator of affective resources and decision-making to continue their fight against the state`s decree.
