Alfonso Cravioto was a member of the most prominent intellectual and political organizations of the early 20th century. Throughout his life he joined political and diplomatic activities with creating literature, poetry and essays. In this article we intend to highlight his contribution to education in Mexico, from a perspective that links his life experience with the sensitivity which was one of his most pronounced characteristics. Cravioto was recognized and beloved by his contemporaries, and he anticipated and participated in the first years of the Secretary of Mexican Public Education.
