In this article the author examines the conflict that led to the separation of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia at the beginnings of the 90's. Some reasons of the disaster are analyzed, from Tito's death, the regionalist nationalism, the economical crises, Milosevic political performance and the Kosovar-Albanian issue up to the beginnings of independence wars of the former Yugoslavian Republics, the generalization of the conflict, the war crimes and the NATO intervention in it, ending with the disintegration of the country.
