LECHON GOMEZ, Domingo Manuel y MENA FARRERA, Ramón Abraham. Hacktivism and Internet as disputed territory. A look from the frame of collective action. Estud. polít. (Méx.) [online]. 2019, n.48, pp.115-131. Epub 04-Jun-2020. ISSN 0185-1616. https://doi.org/10.22201/fcpys.24484903e.2019.48.70423.
This article deals with a dimension of the analysis of a more extensive investigation carried out in Mexico during the first semester of 2018 about technological activism. This research is based on the theoretical perspective of collective action frameworks, and interviews with seven hacktivists who reflect on their public activity and social struggle from the Internet. The findings contribute to the reflection of how the internet can be considered a disputed territory, relying on hacktivism as the expression of a core and active participation in the social and technopolitical movements of a community.
