Resumen

DOMINGUEZ CORNEJO, Matilde Margarita  y  LOZA VAQUEIRO, María Isabel de Lourdes. “Caring is Work”: Reflections on the Experience of Design and Implementation of a Workshop on Care Work in a Group of Women in Leon, Guanajuato. Rev. latinoam. estud. educ. [online]. 2024, vol.54, n.1, pp.305-323.  Epub 11-Mar-2024. ISSN 2448-878X.  https://doi.org/10.48102/rlee.2024.54.1.602.

The aim of this article is to narrate the experience of building, designing, and applying a workshop on care work and self-care from the perspective and incidence of the Victoria Díez Human Rights Center (CDHVD) in Los Castillos area in León, Guanajuato. It was carried out from the perspective of decolonial feminist pedagogies and feminist theory on care work since the idea was for the women of Los Castillos to reflect on domestic work that most of the time is not paid or valued symbolically and economically. The pilot test of the workshop was carried out to receive feedback from both, the participating women and those who make up the civil association. In the text, we show reflections, successes, and recommendations on how the construction and application of the workshop was carried out.

Palabras llave : care work; women; feminist and decolonial pedagogies; Guanajuato.
