This article, based on the discussion of some examples, proposes a reflexion on the way cognitive sciences and mathematics didactics addresses the issues related to learning difficulties in mathematics, trying to highlight the theoretical conceptions underlying the analysis as well as certain reasons why these conceptions are considered fundamental for it.
