Resumen
CARDENAS TAPIA, Magali. Gender equity in research National Polytechnic Institute's environment network case. Investig. adm. [online]. 2016, vol.45, n.118. ISSN 2448-7678.
The objective of the research was to analyse the equity of women's participation in National Polytechnic Institute's Environment Network; the utilized method in this research was the analysis of networks using Graph Theory, with three centrality measures: degree, betweenness centrality and clustering coefficient. The results enable to conclude that there is no equity in women's participation from REMA; the variable degree presents big inequality between men and women; the variable betweenness centrality enabled to identify the most influential researchers in the network, which are men; some groups inside the centres were identified, however, women's participation in those groups is very low. The relevance of the research is that there are few researches that use the methodology proposed in Mexico. Research's limitations, it will be necessary to complement the study with a qualitative component in order to know women's perception about gender equity in research.
