The National Nanotechnology Laboratory (nanotech) started its activities since 2006, thanks to funding by 20 million pesos from CONACYT. The main interest of this laboratory is to extend the capabilities of synthesis, evaluation and characterization of nanomaterials (both metallic and organic), infrastructure generated since its creation has allowed him to reach this level. The equipment includes everything from high-resolution microscopes, microscopes for life sciences and others that complement them. Since nanotechnology is now a research priority for our country, a laboratory of these characteristics becomes important at the national level, as part of a network of higher education institutions and public centers able to serve and help the different areas of knowledge and industrial and government sector.
