DAVILA, J. et al. Gaszen: platform for monitoring the level of liquefied petroleum gas. RIIIT. Rev. int. investig. innov. tecnol. [online]. 2018, vol.6, n.35. ISSN 2007-9753.
A large part of the Mexican and world population uses Liquefied Petroleum Gas in a stationary tank, demanding a service that monitors its level avoiding finishing it and corroborating that the load is correct. The current solutions, in the Mexican market, require a wired medium or Bluetooth technology to transmit the data, making it difficult for the user to know the level of liquefied petroleum gas wherever and whenever she/he wants. As a result, we propose the Gassen platform which incorporates LoRaWAN technology and mobile applications to monitor the level of liquefied petroleum gas stored in a stationary tank. We used an initial methodology of five stages providing: a) to know the applications of national patents related to the subject, b) to identify similar solutions, c) to define the telecommunications technology, d) to know the official Mexican norms to guide the technological development, and e) to understand the options to protect industrial property. Based on the results, we defined the conceptual model for its development. In each stage, laboratory tests were performed to verify its correct functioning. As a consequence, there is a certified technological development with three standards, five computer program certificates and two applications for industrial design registration. At this time, the product is in the commercialization stage, contributing to the growth of the national economy.
