Resumen

RAMOS-REYES, Rodimiro; SANCHEZ-HERNANDEZ, Rufo  y  GAMA-CAMPILLO, Lilia María. Analysis of land use changes in the municipality coastal Comalcalco, Tabasco, Mexico. Ecosistemas y recur. agropecuarios [online]. 2016, vol.3, n.8, pp.151-160. ISSN 2007-901X.

The objective was to identify the dynamic of the changes in land use from 2000 to 2010 in the municipality of Comalcalco, Tabasco, Mexico. There was a 4.06 % decrease in pastures for agricultural and urban use, decreasing from 36,595 to 33,448 ha. The increase in agricultural use was encouraged by governmental programs, whereas the urban use responded to the 23.33 % increase in population in the 10 year study. Due to anthropogenic causes, a 0.81 % loss of hydrophytic vegetation was observed, which was substituted by grasslands; whereas the mangrove surface grew by 1.32 % due to natural causes. Vertisol, Gleysol, and Solonchak soils have deficient physical and chemical properties, but represent 87.6 % of the surface; on the other hand, Fluvisol and Cambisol soils have good fertility and represent 12.4 % of the surface. The changes in land use that occurred are not recommended, given that they could negatively affect the fertility of the soil.

Palabras llave : Agriculture; mangrove; pasture; humid tropics; urban use; hydrophytic vegetation.
